Pyënikki Mase is a popular Aiyoti treat made from puff pastry in the shape of a stick, there are two major different types of it. Pyënikki Mase translates to 'The edible stick' (lit. Edible stick-the) Alternate spellings:

Senikki Masyë (Azuo, Aisicio, Ciulio), Seyniki Maëse (Dãnaqqi)

History[]

Pyënikki Mase was first thought to be made due to shortages of food supply and not much trade with the surround nations, at this time it was usually made from Fish and Potato skins. The food seemed to be a succes - cheap and easy to make - so big companies decided to start creating it, then they had the idea of adding more flavours. You can't get the original fish and potato skin flavour from big companies anymore - however, many Aiyotis still make them.
